Mimsy Farmer comes from Chicago, Illinois and on 25th day of Feb this year, she turned 65. She is an actress by profession who left the US soil after a short while to find happiness in Europe. When she was a teen, she appeared in Spencer’s Mountain (’63), as her 1st movie (she was in couple of TV shows prior to this).

It wasn’t a big part and bigger parts didn’t follow, until The Wild Racers, five years later. Movie “More” in ’69, as well as the one before gave her a chance to discover the old continent a bit better. She liked it and fell in love there and made a decision to stay in Italy and find more work.

All the movies that she did following her move were mainly in Italian and French with only couple made for English speaking audience. Her love life blossomed and she got hitched to Vincenzo Cerami, producing her only child.

Her most memorable appearance was in Four Flies on Grey Velvet (‘71) and this got her many other roles in Italy and France. When her marriage fell apart in mid eighties, she moved next door to France with her teen girl.

This gave her the opportunity to get parts in French production movies. She fell in love here too, and married her 2nd hubby at the end of eighties. The last movie she made was Safari (’91) and this marked the end of her acting career.

Living in France makes her happy and content that acting is not her passion anymore. During her career she received two nominations which saw her score one award for Road to Salina (’70). Even though she is not acting, Mimsy Farmer is involved in art and sculpts.

Her work is featured on stage in Italy and France and she can also credit “Toy Story” and “The Golden Compass” as some of the projects she’s been involved in.
