French actress Amira Casar was born in the summer of 1971 and grew up in UK and Ireland, and speaks both french and english well, with an exceptional ear for accents and dialects. Celeb is the daughter of a Kurdish father and a Russian opera singer. After doing work as a model for Chanel and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. Amira studied drama in the Conservatoire National D'Art Dramatique in Paris, with Blanche Salant and Paul Weaver. Amira made her first on screen appearance in Erreur de jeunesse, in 1989. She is well known by many and has starred in over 30 films. Amira receives many offers from big Hollywood studios, but she prefers playing in European Productions. The world discovers her in Would I Lie to You? which ultijmately wins her a nomination for Best Promising Actress Cesar Award in 1997. Playing the title role in Hedda Gabbler in Paris, also for the Almeida Theatre, 'Aunt Dan and Lemon', Amira has worked in theatre on both sides of the English Channel. Amira also plays in provocative comedies like Why Not me? or Hypnotized and Hysterical.
In 2006, Amira was a member of the jury at the Angers First Film Festival in 2006.
